Astrum Search is working with an internationally recognised business to recruit a new Head of Internal Audit.

Reporting to the Group Audit Director, this is a leadership role that will have significant input to the ongoing development and strategic direction of the internal audit function.

As part of the audit leadership team, you'll line manage an experienced management team, as well as a pooled resource of internal auditors indirectly, ensuring the audit plan is delivered on time and to department/IIA standards. You'll also play a key role in managing the relationship with a co-source provider.

The role will see you support the Group Audit Director with yearly audit planning, support with Audit Committee reporting and suggest ways to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit function.

My client is looking for an experienced audit professional with demonstrable experience of managing and developing an audit team, providing direct reports with support and guidance to ensure they are continually developing.

You must be comfortable managing and influencing a senior stakeholder group, whilst acting with integrity at all times. A professional qualification is also required (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
