Compliance Manager

This large complex media organisation is renowned in the UK and more globally; known for its excellence in the service it provides people. 

This Compliance manager role is a brand new position reporting into the Head of Risk Management, and reporting and presenting to the Audit Committee and Executive level. 

The role is part of a transformation across risk and compliance; providing assurance over compliance activities across the business, horizon scanning for new regulations and compliance trends, as well as monitoring stats across compliance. 

There are options to be based from Central London or Birmingham; 2-3 days a week in the office. 

Are you the right candidate?

• The successful candidate will have a relevant degree, legal or audit qualification or equivalent compliance certification.
• A proven compliance professional with between 7-10 years experience with in-house experience
• Has a strong understanding of and experience in operating an effective corporate compliance risk management programme and best compliance practices, understand the external legal and regulatory environment and apply it in a tailored manner. 
• Experience conducting second line monitoring and assurance of compliance risk (essential) and be able to prepare Board level, Executive level reports.
• Highly experienced in supporting teams on a variety of initiatives, in a busy environment. Very strong work ethic. A team player, with a positive self-starter attitude.
