Astrum Search are working with a leading UK infrastructure and equipment services group who are seeking a Group Internal Auditor to join their expanding internal audit function. Operating across multiple sectors including construction, utilities, and energy—this business supports essential infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver risk-based internal audits and provide advisory support to key business units

Assess internal controls, identify gaps, and recommend improvements

Present clear, objective reports to management and track agreed actions

Work closely with Group Risk, Finance, and IT to align assurance activities

Lead and contribute to internal projects, such as data-led auditing and control framework enhancements
What We're Looking For:

Experience delivering internal audits or risk assessments

Strong analytical and communication skills

Ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making

Qualification or working towards one (e.g. CIA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Comfortable working independently and part of a collaborative team
