Controls Assurance Programme Lead – FTSE-Listed Retail Group – 18 month FTC.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Controls Assurance Programme Lead to join a fast-paced, listed retail business embarking on a major controls transformation programme. This newly created role will be responsible for designing and leading the implementation of a group-wide controls framework across Finance, Compliance, Technology, and Operations.

You’ll act as the strategic lead for a high-profile programme aligned with upcoming UK Corporate Governance Code requirements, ensuring robust governance and risk management structures are embedded across the business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will also serve as a trusted controls advisor, helping to drive sustainable, scalable solutions in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

We’re looking for a seasoned professional with proven experience in controls, risk, and business process improvement in listed or complex organisations. Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and communication skills are essential.

The role is London based 2-3 x per week and requires little travel.
