This is a highly international role and travel is expected to be 50% of the time. The travel is very well planned and requires short trips of 2-3 days at a time (with the exception of long-haul travel). The team do not typically travel the first week of the month. The travel is predominantly in Europe but also the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Internal Audit in developing the annual internal audit plan ensuring the plan assesses key financial, operational, and risk management controls.
  • Plan, perform, and report on audits as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit.
  • Develop recommendations as agreed with management ensuring they are both realistic and value-adding to the Group.
  • Review work papers of more junior team members, ensuring departmental standards are upheld.
  • Develop positive working relationships with senior management to ensure the business understands the value of internal audit and to keep abreast of emerging risks.
  • Assist the Head of Internal Audit in recruitment and development of team members.

Skills & Experience:

  • A recognised accounting or internal audit specific qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIA etc).
  • Experience working in an internal or external audit role at a Manager level with a strong understanding of financial controls in an international organisation.
  • Prior IT General Controls experience is highly desirable.
  • Flexible and happy to travel internationally 50% of the time.
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously when needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an international organisation that has doubled its revenue over the last 5 years. They have a suite of innovative products that are highly desirable in the current environment and have a big sustainability agenda.

The team is very well respected and there is a genuine career path to regional and divisional finance roles across the world.
