Major UK FTSE 100 organisation - Finance Transformation

Birmingham - Hybrid

Up to £80,000 - £90000 + bonus + benefits

 

Astrum Search is delighted to be supporting a major UK organisation with the appointment of a Data, MI & Assurance Manager within a significant Finance transformation programme.

 

This is a newly established role with responsibility for building the data, management information, analytics and assurance capability supporting a major transformation programme. Initially focused on Balance Sheet Assurance, the remit will expand across Finance Governance, Risk & Control, Financial Control, SOX readiness and wider Finance Transformation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data, reporting and analytics workstream for Balance Sheet Assurance
  • Develop executive dashboards, KPIs and management reporting using Power BI
  • Improve finance data quality, reporting consistency and automation
  • Analyse financial trends, reconciliations and exceptions to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Develop finance data structures, reporting models and ownership frameworks
  • Translate complex financial and technical information into clear management insight
  • Lead and develop a Data & MI Analyst whilst remaining hands-on in delivery

 

Skills & Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of balance sheet accounting, financial reporting and General Ledger structures
  • Strong experience in Finance MI, reporting, analytics and data modelling
  • Advanced Power BI and Excel capability
  • Experience improving reporting through automation and process improvement
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience across data governance, Finance Transformation, controls or assurance would be advantageous
