Job Description

Astrum Search is supporting a leading infrastructure business to recruit an IT Audit Assistant Manager based at their London HQ. This is a new role in the team that will be integral to the future growth of their in-house technology audit capabilities.

In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and the wider internal audit team to deliver assurance that shapes key decisions and drives improvements across the business. It’s a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your work directly contributes to operational excellence and future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading audits from planning through to reporting, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

  • Reviewing and assuring quality across audit work, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and actionable outcomes.

  • Providing insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders to strengthen governance and control frameworks.

  • Coaching and mentoring team members to build capability, engagement, and professional growth.

  • Collaborating across the business to support governance meetings, champion the internal audit strategy, and drive innovation.

  • Managing resources effectively, including liaising with external providers where needed, to deliver cost-efficient assurance.

  • Contributing to strategic initiatives, and ad hoc projects that raise the profile of Internal Audit.

Skills & Experience:

  • A qualified professional (CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA, or equivalent).

  • Extensive audit experience, ideally with exposure to IT audits, cyber security, and project implementation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise reports.

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Proven ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with data analytics expertise a distinct advantage.

  • Calm and resilient under pressure, able to manage multiple priorities with confidence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your expertise, influence decision-making at a senior level, and help shape the future of a nationally significant organisation. You’ll join a collaborative team where your insights and leadership will be valued, and where you can make a tangible difference every day.
