Job Description

Astrum Search is working with an international FTSE 100 hospitality business to recruit a new Internal Auditor to join the team. This is a replacement role following the current Internal Auditor being promoted into a Commercial Finance role in the business. 

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Internal Auditor will be responsible for leading and delivering assigned audits & risk assessments, whilst managing a co-source. The team is relatively small in-house and typically have a co-source provider to assist with audit delivery. The Internal Auditor will be heavily involved in managing the relationship with the co-source.

The audit plan consists of finance and operational audits, and is more heavily weighted to operational reviews. The role will also see you involved with Enterprise Risk Management; identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks to the organisation, and ensuring that a comprehensive risk identification process is in place.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised qualification (ACA/ACCA preferred) and ideally have trained in a leading accounting firm.

The business is cash rich with a strong asset base, and are now looking to further expand as the economy grows but also by acquisition.
