Job Description

Astrum Search is working with a growing Top 10 firm to recruit a new Third Party Assurance Senior Manager into their Risk Advisory service line. The role is based in Manchester, with the option of Leeds, Liverpool or London and will be working within their corporate division.

The role will work with corporate clients and will be involved various assignments with varying complexity across multiple sectors. You will play an integral role in the strategy of the service line and be heavily involved in business development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical expertise to the DRAS team on TPA reporting matters including contributing to technical updates, support in planning discussions, issue resolution, developing frameworks/methodologies in relation evolving frameworks / topics and training of staff
  • Leading on and overseeing assurance reviews – providing support to junior team members and being key client conduits for all communication
  • Oversight and responsibility for a growing portfolio of client projects covering a mixture of sizes, industries and complexity. Ownership of growing junior team across this portfolio and providing on the job training for our graduate and junior resources utilised on assurance projects
  • Involvement in key activities, which may include recruitment, forecasting, people management, resource utilisation, quality assurance etc.
  • Commercial oversight of engagements to ensure they are manged within budget and the client is appraised throughout
  • Oversight and accountability for client projects, ensuring projects are well managed and commercially viable by budgeting effectively, billing clients promptly and discussing inefficiencies / overruns in a timely manner

Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, MIIA or CCAB or equivalent
  • External or internal audit or regulatory assurance or advisory work experience
  • Experience in delivering work under recognised assurance standards (ISAE 3000, ISAE 3402, ISAE 3410, AAF 01/20, SOC1/2 etc) and the ability to review varying subject matter & criteria to determine appropriate assurance approach
  •  Have undertaken & led complex and large assurance assignments and have an understanding of review methodologies and techniques including assignment planning and risk assessments
