ICFR Lead - FTSE PLC

Astrum Search is working with a FTSE PLC to recruit a ICFR Lead to drive the implementation of a financial controls framework aligned with SOX 404.

This is an opportunity to build the framework from its first year, shape how controls operate across a large and complex business, and work closely with senior UK and Group finance leaders.

You’ll lead the implementation plan, including scoping, risk assessments, process walkthroughs, risk and control matrices, testing and remediation. You’ll also develop an ICFR Analyst and help the business improve and automate controls as the framework matures.

The essential experience is leading a first-year SOX/ICFR implementation from within a business. You’ll need strong technical knowledge of ICFR/SOX 404, the confidence to influence senior stakeholders, and the willingness to stay hands-on with delivery.

A professional accounting or audit qualification is required.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a financial controls implementation from its infancy! The role is based at their Birmingham HQ with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 x per week.
