Job Description

Astrum Search is working with a complex, global organisation to recruit a new Internal Audit Manager. My client operates globally across several industry sectors, making this a highly diversified role.

Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, you will be part of a growing team with ownership of delivering the annual audit plan. This is a senior role that will also have line management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the audit plan, ensuring it is fulfilled to deadlines and department standards.
  • Ensure audits are properly conducted, and audit findings are fairly reporting to local and senior management.
  • Support to Director of Internal Audit with yearly audit planning activities, working with senior stakeholders to identify current and emerging risks. 
  • Schedule and assign audits to team members, ensuring effective use of resource.
  • Manage and oversee team performance through performance planning, coaching and appraisals. 
  • Oversee and provide quality control for department audits, ensure standards are met at all times.
  • Prepare draft audit reports with commercial recommendations and oversee follow-up of implementation of recommendations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Fully qualified, either accountancy or internal audit specific qualification (ACA/ACCA/IIA/CIA).
  • Significant internal audit experience in a multi-national environment, including SOX.
  • Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Prior line management experience and experience of developing/coaching junior team members. 
  • Strong communication skills with experience of engaging with senior stakeholders internationally. 

My client is looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager with prior management experience. You will be part of a growing and diverse team operating across Europe. Some travel is expected but no more than 25%.

The role is London based 2-3 days per week.
