Technology Controls Manager (AI & Analytics)

Astrum Search is partnering with a FTSE global engineering group to appoint a Technology Controls Manager, with a key role in strengthening the organisation’s internal controls and advancing its use of AI and analytics.

Working across Internal Controls, IT and the divisions, you’ll help develop practical, sustainable ways to meet evolving control requirements. The role combines technology-enabled improvement with hands-on work across general IT controls and automated controls.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and implement AI and analytics solutions that improve control monitoring, testing, reporting and remediation

• Develop analytics scripts and automated reviews and build on continuous monitoring capabilities

• Design dashboards and workflows that give stakeholders clear insight into control performance and assurance activity

• Help standardise and automate control templates and processes to support more efficient reviews

• Work with IT teams, divisional and site stakeholders, external auditors and other partners to strengthen general IT controls

Skills & Experience:

• Experience applying AI and analytics in internal audit, internal controls or a related field

• Knowledge of general IT controls, automated controls and relevant frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT

• Understanding of financial systems and ERP applications

• Internal or external audit experience, ideally gained in a large organisation or a top-tier practice

• Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to work through ambiguity and influence practical improvements
