Senior Audit Manager (FTC / Contract)

London Hybrid

A FTSE 250 are looking for an experienced Senior Audit Manager to join the Internal Audit leadership team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a senior, high-impact role reporting directly into the Head of Audit, offering strong exposure to executive stakeholders and the opportunity to influence assurance outcomes across a complex, well-known retail organisation.

The Role:

This position is focused on oversight, judgement and influence, rather than hands-on audit delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality assurance across the business while acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing audit work and providing robust challenge and sign-off
• Leading stakeholder engagement across the UK business
• Supporting complex investigations and sensitive reviews when required
• Helping maintain high professional standards and resilience within the team

Location & Flexibility

• London based
• 2 days per week on-site (with flexibility if required)
• Minimal travel, UK coverage only

Experience & Profile:

• Senior Internal Audit experience within Retail or FMCG preferred
• Proven ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
• Comfortable handling sensitive or complex investigations
• Immediately available (or on very short notice)
