Astrum Search is working with a global leader in the building materials industry to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor. The role is hybrid, working 2-3 days per week in either their Amsterdam or Dublin office. The role comes with lucrative EU travel as well as great benefits.

About the role:

• Planning and carrying out multi-faceted reviews of financial and operational controls.
• Promote practical solutions and improvements to risk management and internal processes.
• Work individually and as part of the wider team.
• Use audit software to enhance efficiency of audits.
• Carry out transformation, change management or project management type activities when required.

About the candidate:

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• 3-6 years' experience in a large accounting firm or similar accounting / business experience.
• Experience in internal controls evaluation, SOX, substantive testing and compliance.
• Excellent financial and analytical skills.
• Must have a full clean driving license.
• Willingness and able to travel across the EU.
• sponsorship available for EU passport holders. 
• Fluent English both verbal and written.
• Another European language is desirable.
