Key accountabilities:
- Strategy and Vision:
Develop, gain buy in and execute a comprehensive strategy for analytics and reporting, aligned with Compass goals and objectives.
Establish a clear vision for the Centre of Excellence, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities.
- Team Leadership:
Form and lead an analytics & reporting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure high performance and growth.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.
- Analytics and Reporting Capabilities:
Develop and maintain a robust analytics and reporting capability, compatible with Compass’s strategic technology platforms.
Ensure the delivery of high value, actionable insights and reports that inform business decisions and drive right outcomes in a user friendly way (ie emphasis on delivering self-service reporting dashboards and alerts for Execs at both at Group and Country level).
- Data Governance and Quality:
Work with the relevant Compass teams to establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders (incl Exec / Senior Leaders), understanding their analytics and reporting needs and expectations.
Communicate complex analytics and reporting concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective understanding and adoption.
- Innovation and Best Practices:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics and reporting.
Identify opportunities for innovation and experimentation, driving the adoption of new approaches and tools such as Generative AI
- Operational Efficiency:
Ensure the efficient operation of the Centre of Excellence, managing resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase productivity and quality.
Requirements:
1. Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Experience:
· At least 8 years of experience in BI, analytics, reporting, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
· Proven track record of building and leading BI, reporting and analytics teams.
3. Skills:
· Strong understanding of analytics and reporting concepts, tools, and technologies (e.g., data visualization, machine learning, statistical modelling).
· Excellent leadership, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills ideally in a federated business model.
· Ability to think strategically and drive business outcomes through data-driven insights – strategic doer.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Experience with data governance, quality, and security principles and practices
Nice to Have:
- Industry expertise: Experience in Food Service & Hospitality Industry
- Cloud computing: Familiarity with cloud-based analytics and reporting platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Power BI).
- Agile methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies and iterative delivery approaches.
