Reports to: - Jennifer McGuire, Group Head of IT Audit and Programme Assurance

Role Purpose

Reporting into the Head of IT Audit and Programme Assurance, the Group Programme Assurance Manager is responsible for risk assessing and providing assurance across transformation within ABF. They will be responsible for working closely with, and providing independent assurance over, the key projects within the ABF businesses as well as providing support and programme assurance knowledge to Internal Audit.

Responsibilities/

Key Tasks

• Undertake Project assurance activities (planning, fieldwork testing and reporting) as part of the IT Audit team.
• Drive the coordination, execution, and collaboration of a consistent delivery of assurance work across the business. Ensure the Assurance Plan is delivered and working to tight deadlines.
• Support the wider audit team in understanding and providing assurance over projects.

• Support the Head of IT audit and Project Assurance with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a common approach and understanding of key deliverables.
• Promote and lead best practice in risk and compliance management.
• Engage with and provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders within transformation on project best practice by utilising knowledge of the business and the governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
• A degree of domestic and international travel will be required for the role.

• Good working understanding of the project lifecycle and key project/programme management principles.
• Involvement in significant change programmes either in a programme delivery/governance capacity or project assurance capacity.
• Strong skills in risk management and understanding of the audit process.

• Ability to assimilate a breadth of information and summarise.
• Experience in working in a complex global company with a high-level of transformation.

• Strong skills in problem solving including basic data analysis skills using Excel.
• Ability to adapt style and approach to reflect cultural requirements.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively, and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive report and issue writing.

• Track record of understanding change management execution risk and delivery challenges. Must be able to give examples of practical exposure and understanding.
• Project Management and/or Internal Audit certifications- e.g. PRINCE 2, PMP, APMP, CIA
